About Peak Physio

We are a mobile physiotherapy service set up in 2021 with bases in Knutsford and Didsbury. We recognise that some people find it more convenient to be seen at home or work than having to travel for their appointment, hence we established our services on wheels. We are both very experienced physiotherapists and have close links with other medical professionals, personal trainers and a nutritionist if we need them. We are passionate about health and fitness and our goal is not only to help you recover from injury or illness but also to guide you to achieving your peak performance, whether that be running a marathon or walking a mile.

Claire Ferguson - Knutsford

BSc Hons Physiotherapy MCSP HCPC

Having graduated with a Bsc Hons in Physiotherapy in 2001 I have worked across a broad spectre of NHS and private sectors specialising in musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and sports injuries. I also have a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems.

I love sport, exercise and fitness, particularly running, strength work, skiing/snowboarding and getting outdoors with my dog in Tatton.

Sophie White - Didsbury

BSc Hons Physiotherapy MCSP HCPC

Since graduating in 2000 from Glasgow Caledonian University, with a BSc Hons physiotherapy degree, I have gained extensive experience working across both the NHS and private practice. I enjoy treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues including sports injuries, spinal and orthopaedic problems.  I have completed numerous post graduate courses to refine my skills.

I have a keen interest in Pilates and in the past have run classes but can offer 1:1 training with this. Personal interests include running, gym work and also walking my dog.

What to expect

We will call you prior to visiting to find out a little about yourself and your problem before booking an appointment.
The initial assessment will be one hour and this will involve detailed history taking and a physical examination so that we can provide you with a clear diagnosis. We will also provide education as well as some treatment in the first session.

Treatment may involve hands on physiotherapy such as joint mobilisations, massage, taping, gait analysis, or could just be advice and guidance with clear time frames as to the correct road to recovery for you.
We will review this programme at each follow up, typically 30 minutes, and tailor our treatments accordingly.

If we feel that physiotherapy is not suitable or that you may need referring on to other health professionals we will liaise with your GP/Consultant accordingly.
